Topic: Redemption Gives Direction in Our Earthly Journey According To the Will of God
Text: John 16:13
Memory Verse: “Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ whenever you turn to the right hand or you turn to the left” – Isaiah 30:21.
Redemption, the act of being saved or delivered from sin and its consequences through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, not only brings salvation but also provides guidance and direction in our lives according to the will of God. Through the Scriptures, we can find assurance that redemption leads us on the path of righteousness and aligns us with God’s purpose for our lives.
Redemption not only secures our salvation but also provides on-going guidance through the in-dwelling presence of the Holy Spirit just as seen in today’s Bible reading. The Spirit’s role is to lead us into truth, helping us to discern God’s will and direction for our lives. This divine guidance ensures that our steps are ordered by the Lord, leading us along paths of righteousness and fulfilling His purposes for us.
Jesus promises that the Holy Spirit, whom He sends to believers, will guide them into all truth. This guidance ensures that as redeemed individuals, we are led in accordance with God’s will, discerning the paths we should take and the decisions we should make.
The memory verse for today taken from Isaiah assures us that as redeemed individuals, God provides clear guidance and direction. We can trust that He will lead us along the right path, guiding our steps and decisions according to His will.
As we walk in obedience to His leading, we can trust that He will order our steps and fulfil His purposes in and through us.
PRAYER: Thank you Lord for the assurance of direction and guidance. Help me to fully yield and be obedient unto your commands in Jesus’ name.
