Evangelism & Missions Department
Evangelism & Missions department of the Church is led by Rev Enoch Sangodare, NEBC Minister for Mission and Outreach. He works with a mission committee to coordinate all the home and international mission of the Church.
Ministries & Committees
Men’s Missionary Union (MMU)
The MMU is the Men’s fellowship of the Church. The organization is led by MMU President, who alongside with an MMU executive supervises all activities of the Men of all ages for missions . The current MMU president is Brother Kunle Oyewole
The MMU’s core mandate is “Ye shall be my witnesses”, which can be found in Acts 1 verse 8.
In achieving this core mandate of witnessing to others, the MMU has five age groups through which mission works are executed. These age groups are:
• Royal Ambassador (10 – 24 years)
• Men of Issachar (25 – 34 years)
• Barnabas (35 – 49 years)
• Gideon (50 years and above)
• David’s Band (50 years and above).
Women’s Missionary Union (WMU)
The Women’s Missionary Union is the Women Organization under the Baptist Women’s Union of Nigeria, Auxiliary to the Nigerian Baptist Convention. It is committed to advancing the Kingdom of God through evangelism, education, communication and the application of Christ’s love and the support of home, national and foreign missionary outreach endeavors.
WMU Watchword: 1 Cor 3:9 – “Labourers Together with God”
The WMU are committed to empowering and equipping women to actively engage in mission work. With a rich heritage dating back decades, our union is dedicated to advancing the gospel, serving the vulnerable, and spreading God’s love in our immediate environs and as far as the Spirit of God leads. Through prayer, education, and service, we strive to make a lasting impact in the lives of individuals and communities.
The WMU of New Estate Baptist church nurtures inclusiveness in missions and has created various Age Group platforms to enable members and children work together with their peers as they do the Master’s work.
All women and children are encouraged to find their place of expression in missions at New Estate Baptist Church. WMU provides spiritual and moral fellowship, to her members through these four organizations.
Outreach Stations
New Estate Baptist Church has many outreach stations in various parts of Lagos state and Nigeria. Some of these are preaching stations formed with core members of NEBC while others are churches established to take the gospel to unreached areas of Lagos city or within and outside Lagos and Nigeria
