Topic: “BEARING GOD’S PRESENCE THROUGH POSITIVE INFLUENCE –
MY LIFE, A LETTER”
Text: Acts 11: 23 – 26
Memory Verse: Colossians 4:7 – “Tychicus, a beloved brother, faithful minister, and fellow servant in the Lord, will tell you all the news about me”.
Pause for a moment and ponder: if someone were to describe you, what would the person say? Paul described Timothy, as a true son in the faith. (1 Timothy 1:2). He described Philemon as our beloved friend and fellow labourer (Philemon 2). On the other hand, he described Demas as one who loved the present world and Alexander the coppersmith as one who did him much harm. (2 Timothy 4:9 & 14)
How would your neighbor describe you? What would your colleague in the office or market place say about you? What would your classmate or course mate say about you? Our words and confessions of being Christians must match our actions, at home and outside. If truly we bear God’s presence, we must continually send out godly vibes.
Our lives change and transform as we encounter God in prayer and through His Word. People will be attracted to the Jesus that they are reading in our lives. That way, we will be able to influence people for Jesus. If the contrary is the case, then we hinder them from coming to Jesus. May rivers of living waters flow from our lives, bringing healing to the people around us.
PRAYER: Pray to be a True Witness of Jesus
