Topic: “THE DANGER OF INGRATITUDE – MISSED OPPORTUNITIES”

Text: PSALM 50:22-23

Memory Verse:  “Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: And to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God” – Psalm 50:23.

Chorus: O that men would praise the Lord /2x. For His goodness and for His wonderful works to the children of men, to the children of Men. He has broken the gates of brass and cut the bars of iron in sunder.

There is a local adage, which implies that when an individual offers praise or gives thanks, such an individual creates an opportunity to receive more from the giver. The thinking behind that reasoning is that when you appreciate the gift, the giver would be encouraged to give even more when the opportunity arises.

The Scripture passage for today shows that God is glorified as we praise Him, and he promises His salvation to such as would praise Him and order their conversations aright.

Having a sense of gratitude connects the beneficiary to the giver directly and opens the door for unlimited outflow. Do not miss such an opportunity. There are many situations where a soul is troubled and overwhelmed and unable to pray. During such times, offering praises to God in thanksgiving and appreciation of His faithfulness and mercies will open doors and lead to answered prayers.

Oh, that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men! Psalm 107:21

PRAYER: Spend time to praise God today for Who He is.
