Topic: “BENEFITS OF INTIMACY WITH GOD – UNLIMITED ACCESS”

Text: 2 Kings 6: 1-10

Memory Verse: “It’s not us, my lord the king,” one of the officers replied. “Elisha, the prophet in Israel, tells the king of Israel even the words you speak in the privacy of your bedroom!” 2 Kings 6:12

There are evil men on earth who take pleasure and satisfaction in making life miserable for people especially the children of the Kingdom. Our Master and Saviour, Jesus Christ warned us repeatedly that we should be gentle as a dove but wise like a serpent.

From our passage for today, the King of Aram was in battle with the people of God. His troops put many strategies together in which they would use to fight. The king observed that the people of God were getting information about his strategies and he wrongly accused his soldiers. One of the troops told the king who the “culprit” was and this happened to be Prophet Elisha – “It’s not us, my lord the king,” one of the officers replied. “Elisha, the prophet in Israel, tells the king of Israel even the words you speak in the privacy of your bedroom!” 2 Kings 6:12

Beloved, it is wonderful and sweet to know the benefits of having an intimate relationship with the all-knowing God, the One who reveals all things and nothing is hidden from Him. By the reason of our son-ship with Christ, we have unlimited access to the Almighty God.

Surely, the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets. Amos 3:7

What a great privilege to have access to the mind of God! How are you maximizing this opportunity? Are you lazy in the study of the word of God and prayer? You may need to cry to God for help.

PRAYER: Father, help my weak knees and strengthen my weak eyes. Help my heart to love your presence more than anything else, Amen.
