Topic: “MORE THAN CONQUERORS”
Text: Romans 8: 31-39
Memory Verse: “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” Rom 8:37.
In Rom. 8:35, Apostle Paul asked a profound question about what can separate us from the love of God? And he gave the answer in Romans 8:38-39 “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Beloved, whatever situation you are in does not defy the love of God nor does it invalidate it. God’s love is proven in the fact that no trouble or difficulty that you might face can change its status. God’s love holds firm on us. Nothing can detach us from it. It is constant in nature and remains unchanged in spite of our changing situations or circumstances. Nothing is powerful enough to cut us off from it. The power of this love is not giving up on us even when we think of giving up on God.
Therefore, we must daily draw strength from this understanding when faced with tough situations that God’s love is never changing nor ever reduced towards us. We must remain focused and encouraged that whatever we face, He is with us. In Isaiah 43:2. God promised that “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”
The assurance of this undying love of God and resilience is to prepare us ahead of any situation. God is aware that there are times we may go through unpleasant situations or trials of life, but He assures us of the power of his love.
PRAYER: Thank you, Father, for the assurance of your unchanging love towards me. Help me to remain strengthened through trials and challenges until my victory appears in Jesus’ name, Amen.
