Topic: “GOD’S FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT“
Text: Genesis 3:1-21
Memory Verse: “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel” Genesis 3:15.
What a day for humanity! Right in the middle of hopelessness, a ray of hope beamed. In the midst of judgment and justice, a seed of eternal joy was sown. God did not show up to shame them, but to save them; what a loving God we have! He confronted (Genesis 3:9) them yet, He covered them temporarily and eternally (Genesis 3:15, 21). Somewhere entrenched within the curses was a blessing announced.
Genesis 3:15 is the first prophetic whisper of the Incarnation. God speaks of a “Seed” of woman, not of man, who would ultimately defeat the serpent. This supernatural offspring will come through a miraculous birth and end the terror of Sin. Jesus is that Seed. Born of a woman (Galatians 4:4), without the seed of a man, He came to crush the serpent’s head, destroying satan’s grip on humanity through His death and resurrection.
This pleasant promise came in the middle of a pain point. As you process your pain, please proclaim, announce, declare and affirm the promises of God for you. Out of that gloom, a glory will rise and redeem you from shame. Out of that situation is a revelation you cannot afford to miss. God planned it, proclaimed it, and performed it.
PRAYER: Father, thank You for speaking hope when humanity deserved only judgment. Thank You for Your plans and promises for me today. I receive their performances in Jesus’ name, Amen.
