DECEMBER 20: “HOW CAN WE APPLY GOD’S GRACE AT CHRISTMAS?”

DECEMBER  20, 2025

Topic:  “HOW CAN WE APPLY GOD’S GRACE AT CHRISTMAS?“

Text: Eph 4:7-13

Memory Verse:  ““But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ” – Eph 4:7.

To apply means to demonstrate or implement knowledge practically — to put something into operation. Applying God’s grace, especially at Christmas, means extending what we have received to others in tangible, Christ-like ways.

  • Receive – Receive God’s grace, freely given without cost, by placing your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Accept Him into your heart. (Matthew 11:29–30).
  • Reflect and Share – Every believer in Christ must reflect Christ’s life through speech, lifestyle, and decisions — by serving others, sharing the gospel, and living out our faith, daily. (Hebrews 4:16).
  • Humility – Grace is seen in humble service. Prefer others with a gentle heart, just as Jesus — though Lord — stooped to wash His disciples’ feet. True grace walks hand-in-hand with humility.
  • Forgiveness – Extend the grace of forgiveness. Be willing to listen, slow to speak, and even slower to anger. (Ephesians 4:32).
  • Grow in Grace – Continue to grow spiritually and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Let your life be rooted in His Word. (2 Peter 3:18).

Christmas is, at its core, a celebration of God’s magnificent grace. Through Jesus, we are invited to experience His love, forgiveness, and redemption. As we reflect on the true meaning of Christmas, may we be inspired to extend God’s grace to others and allow His transformative power to work through us, so that when others see this, they will glorify God.

PRAYER:  Help us, Lord, not only to receive Your grace, but also to reflect and share it wherever we go, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
