Meet our Pastors
Rev Dr. Amos Achi Kunat is the Pastor of New Estate Baptist Church, a position he occupied since joining the Church in March 2002 upon receiving the call of God for ministry in the local Church. He is a servant of God with passion for prayers and the preaching of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was born in Kakuri Kaduna, Kaduna South Local Government Area of Kaduna State over five decades ago.
Prior to becoming the Pastor of New Estate Baptist Church, he served in different capacities in the Nigerian Baptist Convention such as Pastor, Victory Baptist Church Ajah, Lekki, Pastor, First Baptist Church Uwani Enugu, Enugu State.
Pastor K as he’s fondly called by church members is a pastor by calling, with a strong passion for intercessory prayer, godly leadership, and church planting.
Within the denomination he has had the privilege of serving as Moderator, Enugu Baptist Association, The Great Commission Baptist Association, Evangel Baptist Association, and a member of the Global Missions Board of the Nigerian Baptist Convention. He recently also served as the Chairman of the Nigerian Baptist Convention.
Rev Kunat is happily married to Sister Esther Kunat and the marriage is blessed with children.
Rev. Solomon Adeniyi Ajibade is the Minister for Youth and Christian Education of New Estate Baptist Church, Surulere-Lagos Nigeria. He encountered Christ and was saved in 1988 and was baptized in 1993 at Nasarawa Baptist Church Jos, by Rev. A. O. Olaniran. In 1990 he received God’s call into the Gospel Ministry, before proceeding to the seminary in 1996.
He has a passion for reaching young teenagers and youths. His ministry focus includes teaching, preaching, motivating young people for excellence and service, counselling, and discipleship. He is married to Mrs. Olanike OluwaToyin Ajibade. (Olori) The family is blessed with children. His prayer has always been, “Father what I know not, teach me; what I have not, give me; and what I am not in Jesus’ name.
His Hobbies-Listening to Christian Music, reading good Christian books and literature, playing football and writing. His prayers always have been “Lord teach me what I do not know, give me what I do not have and make me into what you want me to be.”
Rev Enoch Sangodare is the Minister for Mission and Outreach. He is an alumnus of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria where he bagged a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (B.Tech.Mech.Engr).
He surrendered to the LORDSHIP of Jesus Christ in 1998 and ever since then, he has been following the Lord. Upon receiving the call of God on his life for fulltime missionary work. He submitted himself for formal training in 2007 at the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria where he obtained a Master of Divinity (Missiology) in June 2010.
He was ordained into full time ministry at First Baptist Church Uwani, Enugu in 2016 while he was the pastor of New Estate Baptist Church, Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria.
His life passion is to see all men come to the saving knowledge of God and grow into maturity through formal and informal discipleship. He is a Discipler to the core and works relentlessly by the grace of God to shape lives according to the order of God’s word. He is committed to ” knowing God and making Him known.”
As a Missionary, he has led in planting of churches and the production of different tracts. He has affiliations with other mission agencies within and outside Baptist denomination and had led Christian fellowships/groups at different times.
Rev. Enoch is married to former Miss Abigail Oluwasayo Adetutu and their union is blessed with lovely children.
Rev Promise Iloba was called into the ministry of New Estate Baptist Church, Surulere on February 5, 2024 as the minister for Music and Worship. He is a Music Minister, Director, and Coach. He has been in Christian Music for over two decades ministering and directing.
Rev Promise Iloba gave his life to Christ on the 3rd of September 1995 at Victory Baptist Church, Rumuomasi. It was after a short message was preached during a musical concert that the Lord gave him an encounter and he took a bold step of faith to come out that night when the altar call was made. He was baptized in the same church in the year 1996 and since then has depended on the grace of God for his spiritual journey.
He is the founder of Newlife School of Music and Promise Music International, music brands based in Nigeria. He launched his first Album titled Rehoboth on the 16th, August 2020.
He is a native of Isele-Uku, Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State. Promise, who was based in Abuja, Nigeria was born in PortHarcourt, Nigeria. He had his first degree in Project Management Technology at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, and a first-class Master of Divinity in Church Music at The Nigeria Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomosho. He graduated as the Best Graduating Student of his Cohort during his postgraduate studies with a scholarship to further his studies.
He started playing Instruments at a very young age. He is skilled in playing instruments such as piano, guitar, drums, trumpet, etc. Growing up, his passion and interest in music developed. Promise Iloba is known for training music talents. He also trains church choirs on vocals, instruments and on-sight singing/playing. He has also held leadership positions in various church organizations.
Promise Iloba is a certified member of the Music Society of Nigeria, and he is happily married to Mrs. Sefunmi Iloba and blessed with two girls.
