Topic: MAKE ROOM FOR GOD: GATES V
Text: : PSALM 24: 7-10
Memory Verse: Dan 6:27 “He delivereth and rescueth and worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the Lions”.
Gates are often times barriers to progress. They limit men from God ordained destiny and purpose of life. Gates can be limitation to progress such that even for those who know where to go for help they are immobilized and restricted. They approach the gates but cannot enter therein! Eccl 10:15 “The Labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city!
Gates can even be alters erected against people who are inside trouble so that they never get out of it. Gates therefore are more than just natural and material barriers but more spiritual and prophetic with capacity to determine what a man will get or not out of life!
Consequently, it’s a big deal to lift up the gates because only men who have capacity and authority, control and access can open such doors and lift up such gates. Notice that such gates are not given up without resistance and without decent fight!
In John 15:5b -Jesus says, “for without me, ye can do nothing” Victory is only in our God through Christ. John 3:27 echoes that “…a man can receive nothing except it is given him from heaven”.
Are there not gates in your circumstances limiting you from achieving potential as desired for you by God? Are the barriers not obvious to you? Probably the alters militating against your progress are yet denying you of progress towards your God given celebrations? Why don’t you invite God into the situation? Matt 12:29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house and spoil his goods; except he first binds the strong man? And then he will spoil his house! God will help you bind the strong man and will help you spoil him so that the gates of limitations will be totally destroyed in your life!
Make room for God and allow him! It is He … who delivers us from the power of darkness Col 1:13
Prayers: Father God, I pray for your help to help me lift the gates of limitation and ancestral negative covenants that hitherto stopped me from achieving destiny and that have spoilt the opportunities you have given me to be the best of what you created me to be. I am tired of living in the shadow! Come to my rescue Lord. I give you room to do what only you can do! In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
