Topic: MAKE ROOM FOR GOD: “Who is this King of Glory”
Text: : PSALM 24: 7-10
Memory Verse: Isaiah 43:15,17; “I am the Lord, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King. Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow!”
Life is full of challenges, while some are tests for our benefit to build us up to strengthen our faith, often times however, some of these challenges are orchestrated by the adversaries of our faith. Often debilitating, they tend to break us down, to finish us! They are strongholds sufficiently to challenge our confession of faith in Christ. These ask – who is this king that you trust in! Why rely on Him who you do not see?
Oh! That faith may arise in you and freshness anew! These times of life questions are the season to “Make room for God” The Lord is a man of war: the Lord is His name. Exo 15:3. With room for the Lord, He comes with awesome power; to declare His counsel – “Touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm” – Psalm 105:15. He is the one that brings out his chariot, horse and power. He assures that all your adversaries shall lie down, and they shall become extinct never to rise again! Hallelujah.
When circumstances ask you “Who is this King of Glory” remember what He said in Deut 20:4 – For the Lord your God is He that goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies to save you. This He emphasised in 2 Chro 20:17 You do not need to fight in this battle; set yourself, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem; fear not.
Rejoice believer, for the one who is the beginning and the last says to you” These things I have spoken unto you that in me ye might have peace. In this world ye shall have tribulation but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world”.
Make room for Him who has overcome on your behalf and become the overcomer.
Prayers: Gracious God, I thank you for being my man of war. I celebrate your power which no creation can challenge or overcome. Thank you for offering me this Salvation in you. Father, silence all who oppose your authority in my life and make them extinct forever. Thank you for my victory in Jesus matchless name I pray. Amen
God’s promises are to be our pleas in prayer. – Matthew Henry
