Topic: HIS CAPACITY
Text: Isaiah 40:12-31
Memory Verse: He giveth power to the faint, and to them that have no might, he increaseth strength”. Isaiah 40:29
God is infinite in all His ways and cannot be encumbered by our very limitations. Indeed, our own shortcomings are the very opportunities at His disposal to display His own capacity. He is more than able to do that which He has promised to do (Num 23:9, 1 Sam15:29). Whenever He sends His word, it must bring into effect in unequivocal terms, the very intent thereof (Isaiah 55:8-11).
In Him, there is no incapacity or necessity for enhancement. His army has no need for reinforcement of men, equipment or other utilities at the battleground. He can choose to accomplish with one, that which can be accomplished with many. Days and Years are simply before Him, the flip side of each other.
His storehouse of love, grace and mercy never runs dry. Therefore, He can amply supply all of our needs according to His riches in glory (Phil 4:19). When He gives, He does not suffer any decline in His inexhaustible pool of reserves, and is not threatened by it. Our individual stores or granaries can run dry of supplies or suffer depletion, strengths may give way, fears could become heightened, and hopes may be threatened or dashed. But all of these do not overwhelm Him in any way. Little wonder, He calls upon us to cast all our cares and worries upon Him, so that we do not become exasperated or worn out by such carriages.
He is inherently good and in Him, there is no comparison. He does not change but has the ability to change everyone and everything in conformity with His will. The God we serve indeed has the capacity to do all things.
“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” (Jer 32:27).
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”( Mark 10:27)
Our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think” — Ephesians 3:20
Prayer: Father, I bow and tremble at your majestic honour and splendour. Please have your way in my life and make me a Vessel that you can use for your Will.
