Topic: Illuminated by Grace
Text: John 8:10-12
Memory Verse: “John 8:12 “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
Imagine walking in darkness, not knowing where to go or what to do. That is what life can feel like without Jesus. However, when we follow Jesus, it is like having a bright light shining ahead of us, showing us the right path to take. Jesus brings light into our lives by teaching us how to love God and love others, how to forgive, how to have faith, and how to live with purpose and meaning.
Our Lord and savior, Jesus, offers us more than just a onetime illumination; He offers eternal salvation. This light invites us to a life free from the shadows of sin and death. Just as a lamp dispels darkness and shows the way, Jesus, through his redemptive work, brings light into the darkness of our lives, guiding us towards salvation and eternal life.
When we choose to follow Jesus and live according to his teachings, we can never be lost or confused as if we were in the darkness. Instead, we will experience true joy, peace, and eternal salvation because Jesus leads us to God, who is the source of all goodness and life.
This light comes through grace. Are you connected to that grace? Are you able to recognize Jesus as the source of your redemption and follow him to be in the light of life that guides you through salvation?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, guide me by your eternal light, leading me to everlasting salvation in your loving embrace. AMEN.
