Topic: “BEARING GOD’S PRESENCE THROUGH POSITIVE INFLUENCE –
LOVE ”
Text: 1 John 4:7 – 21
Memory Verse: 1 John 4:12 – “No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us”.
Song: “I need you, you need me, we’re all a part of God’s body. Stand with me, agree with me. We’re all a part of God’s body. It is His will that every need be supplied, You are important to me, I need you to survive. I pray for you, you pray for me. I love you, I need you to survive”.
We need one another. How better to fulfil this need, if not by the greatest gift – LOVE. Praying for one another. Caring for each other. Supporting one another. Helping one another. Loving one another.
Love among brethren is a powerful witness for Jesus. John 13:35 says, “By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” God loved us enough to give us Jesus therefore; we ought also to love one another. Our text for today further admonishes us that we cannot claim to love God whom we have not seen, if we do not love our brother whom we see.
PRAYER/ACTIVITY: Think about someone that you need to extend love to. Pray for the person. Then take a step of faith by sending a text message to, or call the person and if possible, pay him or her a visit.
