Topic: “BEARING GOD’S PRESENCE THROUGH POSITIVE INFLUENCE –
SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE”
Text: Philippians 3:12 – 4:1
Memory Verse: Philippians 3:12 – “Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me”.
The words of a popular song come to mind at this time. (This world is not my home, I am just here passing through. My treasures are laid up, somewhere beyond the blue). Pilgrims we are, headed for Glory land. Have we allowed Christ to lay hold on us? Is He Lord in our lives as well as being the Saviour? Are we pressing toward the goal? May we not be enemies of the Cross of Christ, setting our minds on earthly things. Rather with full understanding of Colossians 3: 1&2. Let us set our minds on things above. We are citizens of God’s heavenly kingdom. Let us stand fast in the Lord.
Who or what is influencing you as we await the Lord’s return? Who are you influencing for Jesus? Hebrews 10:25 urges us to exhort one another, that is, to encourage, to spur on, while expecting the Lord’s return. May our lamps remain ever trimmed and filled with oil, waiting for the Bridegroom to come. Shalom!
