Topic: “BEARING GOD’S PRESENCE THROUGH POSITIVE INFLUENCE”
Text: 2 Peter 1:1 – 10
Memory Verse: Proverbs 1:10 – “My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent”.
Thermostats in refrigerators are used to automatically regulate the temperature in the equipment and to keep it functioning well. Thermometers on the other hand, change according to the temperature of the equipment or atmosphere to give the temperature reading.
As Christians, we should be thermostats, regulating the “temperature” of our environment. We should be the ones determining what is said or done wherever we are, or where we enter into. We should not blend in with the environment like chameleons. We should stand out and be outstanding for Jesus. Our lights must shine bright continually, pointing men to Jesus. May we always exert a positive influence on believers and unbelievers alike, because we bear the presence of God in our lives.
PRAYER: Pray to appropriate God’s grace to live an outstanding life for Jesus. Read the text for today again and turn it into a prayer.
