Topic: “HE WAS CURSED FOR OUR CURSES!”
Text: Galatians 3:10, 13-14 KJV
Memory Verse: Gal. 3:13 “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree”.
By the offense of Adam, the earth was cursed for man. By our offense to one another, curses here and there are hanging over us. By our own personal offence also, we attract curses on ourselves.
However, by the arrangements of redemption, Jesus took all the curses upon Himself on the Cross. He chose to bear all, with the consequences, so the blessings flowing from Abraham can come freely to us. The chastisement that brought us peace was made by Him! Anytime we break the law, we attract the curse attached to that law upon ourselves. The Lamb of God agreed to go to Golgotha on our behalf. While we were yet sinners/accursed, He died for the ungodly. The curses were so heavy on Him that He cried “My God, My God, why has thou forsaken me?”. His Father forsook Him as He did not respond to Him at all.
All of that pain and suffering was just for me to be free from all curses and enjoy the covenant blessings of Abraham the father of faith. Glory to God! Do not live a cursed life, live a blessed life. Come to the Cross and you will see what the fountain of the Blood He shed at Calvary can do there.
PRAYER: Lord, I believe that every curse finished on the Cross. For me, I walk under God’s blessings, no curse has any impact on me or anyone that is connected to my life, Amen.
