Topic:  “THE JUDGED CURSED”

Text: Mark 11:12-14, 20-21 KJV

Memory Verse: Mark 11:21 “And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away”.

The Lord Jesus declared this tree cursed and one would wonder why. In as much as it was not the season to bear fruit, yet it had leaves. Ordinarily, it should not have had leaves at all. The same resources with which it brought out leaves, should have also made it to bring out fruit. So, the Master, who created it and knew what to expect from it, declared it cursed.

As believers, we are like trees, and that suggests that we are expected to have roots, have leaves and bear fruits. True, there will be seasons of life, which the Creator is fully aware of, yet when He releases resources our way, we should already know that He has His expectations over us. Whenever the Master comes around and realizes that we are performing below expectations, He marvels why, knowing that everything we will need to be all that we should be, have been given to us.

Remember, He has given us all that we need for life and for godliness, so that we have no excuse whatsoever. Beloved, do not hesitate to labour to be fruitful this year and beyond. A curse adds no benefit to the life of any child of God! The Lord has made so many investments into your life, so He will always be right and will always have the right to demand for your fruitfulness.

PRAYER: Master of the universe, help my heart to make the most of all that You have given to me so that I can satisfy your desires and demands over me here on earth, Amen.
