Topic: “LOVE DRIVES US TO OUR KNEES “
Text: I John 5:16

Real, heartfelt prayer offered on behalf of a fellow believer who has stumbled and fallen into sin is one of the most powerful expressions of love. It opens the door to the Spirit of God and gives Him access to the people the devil has bound through ignorance and deception. Our prayers of intercession can destroy the works of the devil in the lives of our brothers and sisters in Christ so that the full and perfect plan of God can be fulfilled. Our prayers can set them free.
If we make ourselves available to the Holy Spirit to pray for each other in love, He will bring us to the point where we know through the Spirit when someone needs prayer. Even if we do not specifically know what to pray for them, we can pray perfectly in the spirit until we have the assurance in our hearts that the will of God has been done.
That is what Apostle Paul refers to in Rom 8:26-28 – “Likewise, the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit maketh intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God”
If we begin to use the weapons of our warfare, (the Name of Jesus, the gifts of Spirit, the Word of God and others) in prayer for one another, they will work together and bring forth God’s plan for our lives, and the evil schemes of satan will not work at all. When love drives us to our knees to intercede for our sinning brother, we will all step into the greatest victories we have ever known.
PRAYER: To be available to meet the needs of others
