Memory Verse:We who are strong ought to bear with failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Rom 15:1
Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly. Likewise, the Holy Spirit also helps our infirmities. Our infirmities would keep us from producing prayer results if it were not for our divine helper.
Ignorance
Ignorance is an infirmity. We do not always know. The enemy will take advantage of us in areas of ignorance. God says “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge – Hosea 4:6. Paul prayed for the Colossians that they would know. Colossians 1:9 – “… For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, DO NOT CEASE TO PRAY for you and to desire that you might be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding to be filled with the knowledge of His will …”
Dullness of Perception:
Luke 24:25. Paul prayed for the brethren at Ephesus that they would not be dull to perceive – Eph 1:16-8. Paul shows that we can pray for ourselves and for other believers to overcome dullness of perception concerning the things of the Lord.
The Holy Spirit was given to teach us all things – John14:26. He teaches us directly in our own spirits. However, He also teaches us through teachers who know the Word of God – Eph 4:11,12
A man of God, paid the price of being a teacher of the Word. He was not called to be a pastor, but a teacher and he abided in that calling till his death. Kenneth Hagin read the New Testament 250 times and the Old Testament tens of times. He was in his eighties when he had read the bible these number of times. Another man of God studied the entire bible 200 times before he departed this world. God has used these vessels to have impact on many men of God in this generation and their ministries have reached over 190 nations of the earth. You cannot give what you do not have; you cannot bear with the failings of the weak when you are not rich in the word of God yourself.
PRAYER: We can get the weak to be as Paul desired – Rom 15:14. Be Equipped to meet needs of others.
