Topic: “GOD’S THOUGHT PROVIDES WISDOM“
Text: Isaiah 55:8-9
Memory Verse: “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. James 1:5.
As humans, we are limited in knowledge and wisdom. In our human limitations, we often judge situations by what we see, feel, and understand. However, God’s thoughts are not limited by time, space, or emotion. He sees the end from the beginning, and His wisdom transcends our understanding. He said “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, for as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.” – Isaiah 55:8-9.
The beauty of trusting in God’s thoughts lies in knowing that He always has a better plan, even when we cannot comprehend it. His perspective is eternal, full of grace, mercy, and perfect timing. When we align with His thoughts, we will walk in divine wisdom. The wisdom of this world fails while God’s wisdom stands permanent and eternally sure.
God’s thoughts are not like ours. While we may be quick to fear, doubt, or judge, God’s thoughts are grounded in truth, love, and eternal purpose. That difference gives us an advantage. When we do not understand, we should lean on our God who does. His wisdom never fails. He has made his wisdom available, so anyone who asks in faith will be given by God. When we are confused or at a crossroad, we need to trust God who already knows the best outcome. In 2 Timothy 1:7, Brother Paul wrote to Timothy that “God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of sound mind”. We have nothing to fear as long as we walk in God’s wisdom. James 3:17 describes the wisdom of God as that which is from above, it is pure, peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. As you regularly study the Bible and work intimately with God, His wisdom will be revealed to you.
PRAYER: O God my Father, thank You that Your thoughts are higher than mine. Teach me to trust You and when I do not understand, help me to rest in Your perfect will, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
