DECEMBER 15 : “THE WORD MADE FLESH”

DECEMBER  15, 2025

Topic:  “THE WORD MADE FLESH“

Text: John 1:1-18

Memory Verse:  “The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, Generous inside and out, true from start to finish” John 1:14. (MSG)

Wow! Finally, the Word became flesh, the invisible God became visible, the untouchable became touchable, and the unknowable became known. John says, “we saw the glory with our own eyes”, not the kind of glory that intimidates from afar, but the glory of grace and truth revealed in everyday life.

John, later in his passionate epistle said “From the very first day, we were there, taking it all in – we heard it with our own ears, saw it with our own eyes, and verified it with our own hands. The Word of Life appeared right before our eyes; we saw it happen! And now we are telling you in most sober prose that what we witnessed was, incredibly, this: The infinite Life of God Himself took shape before us. We saw it, we heard it, and now we are telling you so you can experience it along with us, this experience of communion with the Father and his Son, Jesus Christ” 1 John 1:1-3 (MSG).

Grace without truth leaves us comfortable in our sin; truth without grace leaves us crushed by its weight. But Jesus came full of both, offering forgiveness without compromising righteousness and calling for holiness without withholding mercy. Through the Incarnation, God’s glory is not just a concept to be studied; it is a person to be known, loved, and followed. The more we behold Him, the more His glory transforms us.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, thank You for becoming flesh and living among us. Thank You for revealing the Father’s glory, full of grace and truth. Help me to daily behold You, so that I may be transformed into Your likeness, Amen.
