TOPIC: “DIVINE ALIGNMENT”
TEXT: Hebrews 10:5-10
MEMORY VERSE: “Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come to do your will, O God, as it is written of me in the scroll of the book” – Hebrews 10:7 (ESV).
In the next two weeks, we shall be considering walking in alignment with God using Jesus as our perfect model. Alignment basically means things lining up or matching up properly. It can be used in different contexts. In life to align yourself means you are positioning your actions, goals, values, or attitudes to match or fit with something else – like a purpose, a team, a vision, or even a person. Divine alignment simply means to position yourself to match up with the plan and purpose of God for your life. This implies that you surrender your will to Him and take up His as yours.
This does not mean that we should live a carefree life without making plans or thinking through situations, rather we need to find out what was written in the volume of the book concerning us. You need to find out what is God’s will for your life; that is what He wants to achieve with and through your life that will bring honour and glory to His name. You will find this in his word.
PRAYER: Your prayer daily should be – Lord help me to align myself to your will.
