May 14: STRENGTHEN YOUR STAKES

This is an assurance of what God wants to do with His people. God spoke to them in parables about the amazing wonders He was going to do in their land. How will you tell the barren to burst into songs when she is yet to carry her own baby? How can the children of the desolate be more than she who has a husband? Where will they come from? He further said they should enlarge, stretch, lengthen their cords and strengthen their stakes. That is, they should make adequate preparation for the children and blessings coming.

The height and the length of the tent determines the strength and depth of the stakes. God is saying to you that you should prepare your heart and strengthen it to be able to bear what He is about to do in your life so that it does not take you by surprise. The Lord is saying to you ‘I am about to do mind blowing things that your human mind cannot contain’. Pray that God will enlarge, and strengthen your heart so that you do not stop the flow of what He has prepared to do in your life, according to 1 Corinthians 2:9. “Your eyes have not seen, ears have not heard and it has not entered into the heart of man what God has prepared for those that love him”.

This enlargement may come with some adjustment and you might be stretched as is written in our text today. Don’t be caught unprepared, begin to pray that God will prepare your heart and strengthen your hands, to be able to handle and manage it, whatever it is. It is God’s desire that His children make significant progress by way of enlargement. If there is any area of your life that needs enlargement begin to call it forth into manifestation. The third verse of our text says you will spread out to the left therefore pray for an all round enlargement. No area of your life will be left without the special visitation from the Lord. Receive strength to be able to absorb the great increase that is coming your way in Jesus name. Amen
