Topic: MAKE ROOM FOR GOD: “Who is this King of Glory” II
Text: : PSALM 24: 7-10
Memory Verse: 1 Chr 29: 11-12; “Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the Power, and the Glory, and the Victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and earth is thine, thine is the Kingdom, O lord, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come from thee, and thou reign over all, and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all”.
Financial lack and inadequate resources often challenge the testimony of a believer and the Lordship of God and His glory in the life of a believer. It brings shame and struggling to make ends meet! It’s even imagined that being a Christian consigns one to poverty, lack and insignificance! But Eccl 8:4 says where the king is there is power. Our God is all powerful and when He declares a thing they come to pass unchallenged nor questioned! The word of the King is law!
He is the King of Glory and therefore can declare glory; and where His glory enters, automatically shame and disgrace leaves, expelled and exterminated! Is lack and financial embarrassments starring you in the face? Are you about to face a matter that will disgrace you or has shame been made to visit you on any issue? 1 Sam 2:8 says, “There is a King who can raise the poor out of the dust, raise a beggar from the dunghill and set him among princes and make him inherit the throne of Glory!”
I invite you to Make room for God today and this will be your testimony. What was meant to be a disgrace and that was meant to bring shame becomes your platform for lifting up. His words through Prophet Elisha on a poor widow, whose children were about to be enslaved, turned around from shame and disgrace. She became an Oil merchant and was overwhelmed with prosperity overnight. Their debts fully paid. This could be you!
Are resources lean and finances scarce? Are debtors knocking at the door? “Make room for the King of Glory” He is never late and His word is law. He will resolve the financial crises, take away the garment of shame and you will have your peace, for He is also the King of peace.
Prayers: Gracious God, the king that discharges shame from His children’s life, dismiss all plans to bring shame and disgrace to my life! Arise O God and answer to my deficiency and lack in every aspect of my life. Bring your unparalleled peace to attend to my way and all that concerns me. In Jesus victorious name. Amen
