DECEMBER 10: “CONSECRATION”

DECEMBER 10, 2024

Topic: “CONSECRATION”

Text: PSALM 130

Memory Verse: “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light” – I Peter 2:9.

Are we consecrated or do we consecrate ourselves? It is God Himself who initiates all things including our Salvation, therefore, it is His prerogative to ‘set us apart’ for His service as well. Our part is to surrender to His call.

Beloved, what is it that our hearts are being called to do, so that we can draw nearer to God? To prepare us for greater, purer service? All the disciplines and actions we take to further our walk with God will be done in humble silence, in our intimate times. These acts are private, delicate and unannounced because they take us far beyond words, into the Presence of a loving Father.

God is raising a silent army of men and women worldwide, who have adopted a lifestyle of surrender to God, in all things. The may not have taken special vows, they may look ordinary, but they are not. They are set apart for God’s use.

The Scripture today urges us to find our own place of surrender. All of us, called by the name of the Lord, are called to serve and represent our God. We may not bear any titles before or after our names, but we are His. We are called by Him, to do the works He has prepared for us to do (Eph. 2:10). Let us do them.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I am here Lord. All you have made me and given me is for your Service. Separate me for your use in Jesus’ name, Amen.
