Topic: “BENEFITS OF INTIMACY WITH GOD: RECEIVING FIRST CLASS INFORMATION ”
Text: Genesis 25:21-26
Memory Verse: “The LORD said to her, “Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples from within you will be separated; one people will be stronger than the other, and the older will serve the younger” Genesis 25:23
It could be hard for an innocent mind to believe why several people are consulting mediums to know the mind, purpose and will of God for their lives or the lives of people close to them. Many parents have travelled several miles to see “Prophets or traditionalist” that will make known to them, what they desire to know. Many desire to know the destinies of their children, the career to pursue, the right man to marry or the wife to marry, or the direction to go. It is unfortunate that several people have lost relationships, property, joy, money, and even lives in this process.
It is an age long desire of God to make known His mind, purpose, desire and plans to us, but the truth is that we need to seek Him intimately to know His mind. The reason for this is not far-fetched; there is no man that keeps valuables at the disposal of all and sundry. Human beings go to the extent of keeping their gold jewels in the bank or other institutions where they pay a fee. Imagine how much more the Lord would do for His plans for us.
“It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter” Proverbs 25:2
Rebekah approached the Lord in the place of prayer when she noticed a strange struggle inside of her and the Lord made known to her what the struggle was all about. In fact, the Lord gave her more than she asked for. He revealed to her what would be the nature, future and destinies of the children inside of her. What a faithful God we serve indeed! He has promised to give us “FIRST CLASS INFORMATION” if only we will walk with Him closely. The more you seek to know the Lord, the more you know about His plans and counsel for your life. You do not need any middleman to reach out to your Maker. He is accessible and ever willing to relate with you. You do not need an intermediary at all. It is not correct for another person or an outsider to tell you about your father’s plans for your life. Go to Him and you shall be surprised at what He will tell you.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, deliver me from spiritual laziness. I receive inner strength to relate with you more closely than yester years in Jesus name, Amen
