TOPIC: “GODLY AND DECISIVE LEADERSHIP RESOLVES CONFLICTS”
TEXT: Nehemiah 5:6-9

Nehemiah was very angry when he heard the bitter complaints of the poor Jews. There are times when leaders should show righteous indignation about sin, injustice and bad behavior (whether within the family, Church, community or the nation).
Godly leaders must also be courageous in confronting evil. “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but rather reprove them.” Leviticus 19:17 says, “Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour and not suffer sin upon him.” The ultimate goal should be to facilitate repentance, reconciliation and to maintain peace and keep the unity (of the Spirit in the body of Christ).
PRAYER: Father, make me an instrument of your peace, love and unity in the family, Church and community, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
