TOPIC: “THE TRIUMPH OF FAITH GLORIFIES GOD”
TEXT: Nehemiah 6:15-19
MEMORY VERSE: “And it came to pass, that when all our enemies heard thereof and all the heathen that were about us saw these things, they were much cast down in their own eyes: for they perceived that this work was wrought of our God.” Nehemiah 6:16
Tobiah the evil collaborator with Sanballat, was a man with connections in high places. Yet he and Sanballat failed woefully. Who art thou O mountain, before Nehemiah or any believer who knows his/her God? The faithful is strong, doing exploits and overcoming all obstacles to emerge as more than conquerors.
‘So the wall was finished in the twenty and fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty and two days. And it came to pass, that when all our enemies heard thereof and all the heathen that were about us saw these things, they were much cast down in their own eyes: for they perceived that this work was wrought of our God.’
Even Satan knew that it was God who defeated him and helped his people to finish building the wall of Jerusalem. He that was in Nehemiah was greater than he that was in Sanballat, Tobiah and all the evil conspirators. “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” When you do valiantly, God gets the glory. Hallelujah.
PRAYER: O Lord, strengthen us and use us to do exploits, that they may know that it is in you that we live and move and have our being. When they see what you have done for us, they will glorify your holy name, through Christ our Savior and Lord, Amen.
