Topic: Through Our Redemption Our Position in Heaven is Guaranteed”
Text: John 14:1-6 2Timothy 1:7
Memory Verse: “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you maybe also” – John 14:3.
We are certain of a life after our sojourn on this earth. The Bible assures us of a place of rest as believers; our final destination is heaven where we will reign eternally with God.
Our ticket for this heavenly journey to our place of eternal rest is bought ONLY through the blood of Jesus. He encourages us in today’s passage not to be moved or troubled by what we see or even sometimes experience on earth as His children because it is for a short while, there is a place of everlasting joy and rest where Jesus Himself has gone ahead to prepare for His own -vs 1-2.
Our Redeemer admonished us to hold on firmly to His Word as He will definitely come back to take us to that place that He has promised. This assurance should teach and encourage us to live wisely, as we remain in this earthly body because we have a glorious future ahead of us.
Finally, vs 4 points out to us that we are certain of the Way to this glorious home, Jesus is the Way to God, to heaven. He is the Truth and the Life, and no one gets to the Father except through Him.
Do you know this Jesus Christ? How intimate is your relationship with Him? Come to Him and be guaranteed of your place in Heaven.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, help me to abide in the Way, the Truth and the Life so as not to miss heaven in Jesus’ name.
