Topic: DOING GOOD TO ALL – A Heart of Worship

Text: Psalm 100, Colossians 3:16-17, Hebrews 13:15-16

Memory Verse: Romans 12:1 (NKJV): “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”

Doing good to people should flow from a heart of worship for the lover of God! When we worship God, we acknowledge His greatness and His love for us, which motivates us to love others and do good to them.

Psalm 100 is a beautiful example of worship that includes joyful singing, thankful praise, and a heart of gratitude. This psalm reminds us to enter God’s presence with thanksgiving and praise, knowing that He is good, and His love endures forever.

Colossians 3:16-17 tells us to “let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

Hebrews 13:15-16 reminds us to offer a sacrifice of praise to God continually and to do good and share with others, for this pleases God.

When we have a heart of worship, our desire is to please God in everything we do. We recognize that our worship is not limited to singing songs on Sunday, but it is a way of life. We worship God by loving and serving others, and by doing good to all people.

Prayer: Dear God, we thank you for your mercy and love toward us. Help us to have a heart of worship that is focused on you. May our worship overflow into everything we do, as we seek to love and serve others. We ask for your strength and guidance as we strive to do good to all people. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
