Text: Eph 1: 18-22, Rom 16:20, I Cor 15:27
Memory Verse: “ Ephesians 1:18. “The eyes of your understanding being
enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of their calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints”
Jesus is the head of the body; we are members of His body. So if the head is exalted, the body is not separate from the head, we are exalted with the head, Jesus Christ. If He has been given all authority, that authority belongs to the Church, His body. It is for the benefit of the church. If He conquered all the forces of darkness and left them paralyzed and broken before He arose from
the dead, it is as though we had accomplished that mighty work. He did not defeat them for Himself; He defeated them for us.
That knowledge should be as common to us, and as usable as the multiplication table. We will have confidence like a mechanic taking his tools, spanner, pliers, screwdriver, and hammer to work on the car. We will use the knowledge of the Word of God with confidence and accomplish wonders for God.
To know that Satan is defeated by our Jesus, and that his defeat is eternal, makes our Redemption a blessed reality.
To know that that defeat was administered to him by our Jesus, our Substitute and set to our credit, so that in the records of the supreme court of the universe, we are masters of Satan, and that Satan recognizes that in the Name of Jesus we are his rulers. When the heart knows this as the body knows heat and cold, the kingdom of God makes giant progress.
It is a simple fact that we have come to know; and we act upon that knowledge as we act upon the fact of the ground being able to sustain our weight. We know that God Himself put Satan and all his abilities beneath our feet, and that we are looked upon by the Father and by Satan, as a master of the dominion of darkness. We are taking Jesus’s place. We carry out in our daily walk, the
things Jesus would have done could He have been in our place.
He came to destroy the works of the Adversary. We are completing that which He began. Then arise and take your place; act the part of a son; assume your responsibilities. I should never allow myself to forget what manner of man He made me. “It is God who is at work within me, willing and working His own good pleasure.
Meditate and Apply: Dare the impossible; His Name cannot fail you. You are a victor; Christ made you one; get used to it, so you can play the part. Let your confession harmonize with the facts of the Word.
