Topic: Pathway to Peace
Text: John 14:25 – 29
Memory Verse: John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid “.
In today’s text, we see that despite his imminent departure, Jesus assured His disciples that they would not be left alone. His promise was hinged on the presence of the Holy Spirit as the Advocate who would guide, teach, and remind them of his words. The Holy Spirit’s presence empowers believers to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and peace, knowing they are not alone.
Jesus emphasized the importance of obedience to his teachings. Being totally obedient to God’s word aligns us with God’s will, and this ultimately brings peace. Living in obedience to God’s Word is essential in walking the pathway to true and lasting peace.
We must not be troubled or afraid. Fear and anxiety can hinder the experience of peace. By trusting in Jesus’ promises and the presence of the Holy Spirit, we can overcome fear and find peace in every circumstance.
As you journey through today, know that Jesus offers you a pathway to peace that transcends worldly understanding. By trusting in him, relying on the guidance of the Holy Spirit, obeying his teachings, and rejecting fear, you can and will experience a deep and abiding peace that sustains you through every encounter.
Prayer: Lord, Help me to trust in you, rely on the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and obey your teachings. Grant me the courage to reject fear and to walk confidently with you, AMEN.
