NOVEMBER 30: “PEACE THROUGH WORSHIP”

NOVEMBER  30, 2025

Topic:  “PEACE THROUGH WORSHIP

Text: 2 Chronicles 20:1-23

Memory Verse:  You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.” – Isaiah 26:3-4.

The Scriptures talks about four types of worship: Worship as Homage or Grateful submission to God, Worship as Service to Others, Worship as Reverence or Respect for God and Worship in Congregational Gathering. Worship is based on three pillars: Love, faith and obedience.

From the above classification, it has been more obvious that worship for a believer is not just a program, it is a way of life. Effective worship that evokes peace and God’s blessings is not the transactional in nature but the one with intentionality and right attitude; be it sacrifice to God, or service to others. Gen (22:9).

Whenever any act of intentional and sincere worship takes place, it touches the heart of God because such act is hinged on the above 3 pillars, thus bringing honour and glory to Him. Worship brings peace by shifting our focus from worries to God’s majesty and love. When we worship, we experience God’s presence and peace.

In today’s text, 3 tribes waged war against a tiny tribe. From human assessment of the situation, it would have been a done deal, but Jehoshaphat knew how to report his matter to the Commander-in-Chief of the universe, he accordingly got a strategy that turned the victory to his side even without any human effort (2 Chronicles 20:22).

Therefore, believers’ worship must be directed to God alone and we must trust in His faithfulness.

PRAYER: Lord, help me worship You with sincerity. Fill me with Your peace as I focus on Your greatness, Amen.
