Topic: “GOD’S DELIVERANCE THROUGH MOSES”
Text: EXODUS 2:11-15; 3:1-22; 14:13-20
Memory Verse: Exodus 3:10 – “So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.”
One of the major ways the LORD has demonstrated His love to people is to always raise one man who can execute His mandate on earth. It is all about one man. God began the world with one man Adam, He started again with Noah, then another one man Abraham, He spoke through Ezekiel, His search for one man to stand in gap, and then He sent one man Jesus for the salvation of the world.
Therefore, part of His compassionate acts towards the Israelites was to raise one man named Moses to execute the deliverance of the Israelites. I pray the LORD will find you and raise you for the deliverance of many in the name of Jesus. God’s choice of Moses to deliver the Israelites from Egypt is a powerful expression of His love. He saw their misery and responded with a plan of deliverance.
God’s love often involves raising up leaders and using ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things for His people (Exodus 3:11). God’s love can lift a man into realms of glory and exploit that are unimaginable. How does Moses’ story inspire you about God’s calling in your own life? In what ways can you be a part of God’s plan to help and deliver others?
God’s love is also seen in how God dealt with Pharaoh and the Egyptians in order to secure the release of the Israelites. He made it clear that they were His treasured possessions and was jealous over them. God made a great distinction between His people and the Egyptians (Exodus 9:4; 14:19-20). How can God’s love make a distinction in your life today? Identify areas of desired distinction and pray it into reality.
PRAYER: Delivering God, thank You for raising up leaders like Moses to accomplish Your purposes. Help me to be willing and obedient when You call me to serve. May I always trust in Your love and follow Your leading in Jesus’ name, Amen.
