Topic: “BEARING GOD’S PRESENCE BY HABITUAL FASTING”
Text: Isaiah 58:5-8.
Memory Verse: Mark 9:29 “And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting”
Check through the scriptures and contemporary times. Everyone who waits on the LORD in the place of habitual fasting and prayers on a deliberate basis carries God’s presence. They dive into the depth where possibilities becomes their daily experience. Beloved, when last did you fast? What is your attitude towards individual, personal or group fasting? Why do you fast? To meet your own needs or to do service to the LORD via others.
Certain dimensions of God’s Presence are known only to men and women who labour day and night in the place of fasting and praying. Fasting has a way of subjecting the flesh to the authority of the Spirit. You gain control in the realm of the Spirit and become so sharp to pick every vital detail from the presence of God.
Action point: Begin today by fixing a day in the week for definite fasting and praying. Consecrate your life to God and keep your spiritual muscles strong through fasting. God is abounding towards you, grace in Jesus name.
PRAYER: I receive what it takes to fast and humble my soul before God. Father open me up to the secrets of the kingdom in Jesus name. Amen
