Topic: KNOWLEDGE OFTHE INTEGRITYOFTHE WORD IS THE BASIS FOR FAITH CONDITIONS FOR EXPERIENCING GOD’S PRESENCE

Text: Hebrews 11:3, John 1:1-3

Memory Verse: “ Heb 11:3 – ” By faith we understand that the universe was
created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible”

The reason for unbelief and a faltering faith is a lack of assurance in the integrity of the promises in the Word. The Word should speak to us as if He were here. It takes His place.

The Word has the same authority as He would have if He were here. When we pick up the Bible, it would be good to remember that it is a book with God in it. Life in it; a God-indwelt book.

When we hear the Word of salvation preached to us, we experience an inner change, we truly become new creatures, and the Integrity in the Word of God is at work, though it was written over 2000 years ago.

Centuries-old promises still in fulfillment today, as in Gen 22:16-17: “By myself have I sworn that in blessing I will bless thee and multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heavens and the sands upon the sea shore”; the Jews are thriving with all the persecutions worldwide. The promises of God to David, which include Dynasty, Kingdom, the Son of God, never-ending reign are with us today. Believers in Christ are spiritual Jews.

The spoken word on Paul’s lips at Ephesus stirred the whole city – Acts 19:20. “So mightily grew the word of the Lord and prevailed”. He not only called the things that are not, and they leaped into being, but He watches over His Word to see that not one word fails. God watches over His Word to perform it. John1: 1-3. God and His Word are one. You cannot separate Him from His Word.

God, who was the surety of the old covenant, said, “By myself have I sworn”, and He tells us in Heb 6:17-18. “That he interposed with an oath; that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us”.

Abraham rested on the angel’s word. Now we rest on this Living Word given to the Apostle Paul through the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the guarantor of every word from Mathew 1:1 to Revelation 22:21.

All heaven is back of the Word; the very throne of God is back of the Word; and Jesus and God the Creator are back of the throne. John 1:12 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us” Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away. Mat 24:35

Meditate and Apply: The indwelling Holy Spirit that is manifested in various areas of our lives testifies to the Integrity of the Word of God.
