Topic: FAITH IN YOUR OWN RIGHTS – A CONDITION FOR EXPERIENCING HIS PRESENCE
Text: John 1:13, Rom 3:21-26
Memory Verse: “ John 1:13 – “Who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God”.
The foundation of the New Creation rests on legal principles. You entered the Father’s family by responding to His call and being born of the Holy Spirit, experiencing a recreation through the agency of the Word, as stated in James 1:18, “Of His own will
have we been begotten through His Word.”
To excel in our faith, it is essential to understand our legal rights within the Family of God. The Bible comprises two legal documents: the Abrahamic Covenant and the New Covenant. Jesus’ death addressed humanity’s legal needs, serving as a legal fulfillment accepted by the supreme court of the universe. Consequently, individuals have a legal right to accept Jesus as their Savior and confess Him as Lord, granting them a legal entitlement to eternal life and the divine nature.
As sons in the Family, believers possess legal rights to the Father’s protection, provisions, and all that Jesus acquired through His redemptive work. They can legally use the Name of Jesus in prayer and confront challenges with demonic forces. The question is what is the worth of the Name of Jesus? What authority is backing it? Matt 28: 18-20 says, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given unto me. “
The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is also his legal right. All promises and facts in the Word become the individual’s legal entitlement. According to 2 Peter 1:3, God has granted everything needed for life and Godliness.
He has the love nature of God so that he does not and cannot act like common men. Love makes him like Jesus.
Man holds a legal right to complete redemption from Satan’s dominion, sickness, disease, poverty, and want. The legal righteousness provided by Jesus enables believers to stand in the Father’s presence, granting them a legal right to heaven as their eternal home.
