Topic: “GOD’S PRESENCE BY BEARING ONE ANOTHER BURDEN ”
Text: Gal 6: 1- 2
Memory Verse: Galatians 6:2 “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ”
Do you know that serving other people in need especially from the household of faith is serving Christ? Recall the account of the LORD in Matt 25: 35-45.
The LORD talked about people in various degrees of need…hunger, nakedness, imprisonment and the like. Service to people is needful and the LORD said this is service to him. That means he is present when you serve the common good. You demonstrate his character and display his works in righteousness. Paul in his admonition also positioned the saints to care and show concern for others in Galatians 6:10…Galatians 6:10 “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith”
The heartbeat of Jesus all through His life was never accumulation, but contribution. It takes an individual with a large heart to become selfless and care for a people not known to him or to serve in any regard. When we love people who love us and care for them only, then we are not different from the world and the social clubs. There is a call from on high. It is a higher calling to the place of genuine devotion and dedication to others.
PRAYER: LORD, I sign in my name on your service list. I feed you to people and care for them without bounds. Grant me enabling grace in Jesus name. Amen.
