Topic:  “OH THE WONDROUS LOVE OF GOD”

Text: Ephesians 2:13-22

Memory Verse: Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Paul the Apostle explained the power of God’s love by describing it in tangible terms. He described the journey to salvation of both the Jews and the non-Jews as similar, calling it the experience of two enemies caught in the same boat.  However, through the love of God, they were both reconciled to God in such an amazing and very creative way.

The power of God handles complex situations in the most amazing and creative way. If we would only trust the power of his love, we also will experience this creative power in any challenging situation we may face.  Apostle Paul in Eph 2:14-16 says:

“For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility.”

The power of God’s love is seen when Jesus made peace in his flesh. This is the sacrificial death of Christ on the cross through which God reconciled fallen man back to Himself. The Power of His love will do anything for man. In Romans 5:8, Apostle Paul, says, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” This is the highest thing that anyone can do to show love.

The Bible explains that no one will even dare to do what God did for man through Christ. We must acknowledge that there is no limit to the dimension of God’s love. We must not attempt to barricade or place a barrier around it; rather, we should practice what is written in 1 John 3:16- “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.” Go and show his love to someone today.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for loving me unconditionally. I receive the grace to demonstrate the same to others in Jesus’ name, Amen.
