Topic: “A PEEP INTO GOD’S HIDDEN PLAN“
Text: Genesis 6:11-14, 17-18.
Memory Verse: “So God said to Noah, I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth” – Genesis 6:13.
When the cup of wickedness of Noah’s generation was full, God purposed in His heart to destroy them and the earth as a whole. This plan was only known to God and no one else. So everyone was going about their lives in wickedness as usual, not knowing that divine judgement stood imminent.
However, because Noah feared God and lived in alignment with His character, God could not keep His plan from him. He came to Noah and opened up to him what He was about to do to the whole of that generation of mankind. He also revealed to Noah the plan He had to save him and his immediate family from the calamity about to come upon the earth; to buttress the fact that in His justice, God would not destroy the righteous along with the wicked. This was a big privilege which Noah had because of His standing in God.
As you answer the call to align with God this year, you are being ushered into the rare privilege of enjoying divine revelation into the deep things of God concerning your life, family, all that has to do with you and the world around you. A lack of knowledge killed all the people in Noah’s generation, Hoses 4:6.
The judgement of God came and took them unawares because they did not have the slightest inkling into the plan of God concerning them. However, since Noah knew by the privilege of His alignment with God, he saved himself and his family. See Genesis 18:17-21; Deut 29:29; Dan 2:22; Amos 3:7; John 15:15.
PRAYER: Lord, I thank you that I am in Christ and have the blessing of divine revelation through Him. Help me to stay totally aligned with Him, Amen.
