Topic: “OUTCOMES OF INTIMACY WITH GOD ABOUT THE CHURCH “
Text: Ephesians 4:15-16
Memory Verse: Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. Ephesians 4:15”
In simple terms a Church can be said to be a place where people of diverse ethnicities, ages, genders and backgrounds work together to show forth the glory of God. Though there may be barriers, but these barriers, are bridged with grace and truth, simply for the sake of loving Jesus Christ and each other.
Speaking the truth in love emphasizes the importance of honesty and kindness in interactions within the Church. It means telling the truth without being harsh or judgmental, but with compassion and understanding, which leads to becoming more Christ-like in character, attitudes, and actions. It is a journey of spiritual maturity and transformation.
Jesus Christ is the source of all life and growth within the Church, and we are encouraged to align our lives with His example. Do not forget that we are interconnected and interdependent hence, each member plays a vital role in the overall functioning and well-being of the body. By speaking the truth in love, believers contribute to the unity and growth of the Church, fostering a healthy and thriving community of faith.
‘As the word of God comes to you, let it take root in your heart, and be fruitful – (Colossians 4:12). This verse emphasizes the importance of allowing God’s word to take root and produce fruit, which is essential for spiritual growth and the Church’s overall health.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I pray that our Church will grow in wisdom, knowledge, and love for you as we individually get intimate with you daily in Jesus Christ’s name, Amen
