Topic: “OUTCOMES OF INTIMACY IN THE CHURCH “
Text: Isaiah 55:1-2
Memory Verse: Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 2 Corinthians 3:17
Our text for today in Isaiah above offers a spiritual invitation and urges all who are thirsty to come to the “waters” (representing God’s grace, salvation, or spiritual nourishment) and partake without cost. God offers His gifts freely, without requiring payment. This call can be interpreted as a call to seek God’s presence and grace.
The call can be likened to our invitation from God to come, drink and be filled with His Spirit. “So, I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They conflict with each other so that you are not to do whatever you want” – Galatians 5:16-17.
To have significant outcomes, there should be the free flow of the Holy Spirit in our corporate worship for direction, conviction and above all salvation, which can further lead to various outcomes.
These outcomes shall be discussed as the days go by.
PRAYER: Dear Father, thank you for the freedom you have given us by your spirit, help me to take advantage of it by being a part of your vessels of honour, worthy of the Master’s use in Jesus Christ’s precious name, Amen
