AUGUST 22: “QUIT BREACH OF TRUST”

DATE: Saturday 22 August  2026

TOPIC:  “QUIT BREACH OF TRUST”

TEXT: 1 Corinthians 4:2 (Amp), Colossians 3:23, Matthew 24:45-47

MEMORY VERSE:  “It is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.” 1 Corinthians 4:2

Trust is valuable and fragile. It is built over time but can be broken quickly.
A breach of trust happens when something entrusted to us is mishandled, neglected, or betrayed. This may happen in friendships, families, workplaces, leadership, or finances.

Examples include:
sharing someone’s private matter carelessly
repeatedly breaking promises
misusing resources
being irresponsible with assignments
taking advantage of confidence placed in you

God calls His people to faithfulness, whether in handling money, relationships, time, or responsibilities. We are expected to act with integrity.

Colossians 3:23 teaches us to work wholeheartedly, as unto the Lord. That means faithfulness is not just about pleasing people, it is about honouring God.

When people can trust your word, your actions gain weight. Faithfulness builds credibility, peace and influence.

Today’s Reflection:
Has anyone entrusted something to you that deserves better care?

Today’s Action:
Restore trust in one area today, keep a promise, communicate honestly, or correct neglect.

PRAYER: Lord, make me faithful in all You place in my hands. Help me to handle trust with care, responsibility and honour. Let my life reflect reliability and integrity, Amen.
