Topic: “OUTCOMES OF INTIMACY IN THE CHURCH – SERVICE“
Text: Galatians 5:13-14
Memory Verse: Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know your labour in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:58
Outcomes of Intimacy in a Church Community can manifest in various ways, and service is often a natural outflow of that intimacy. When we feel connected to God and our fellow Church members, we are motivated to serve and contribute to the Church’s mission. This connection brings about a sense of shared purpose and responsibility, which leads to a greater desire to participate in activities that benefit the community.
When we strongly identify with our Church and its values, we are more likely to believe in the Church’s mission and contribute to its goals. Developing an intimate relationship with God can lead to a desire to express that intimacy through acts of service. When we feel closer to God, we are likely to be more motivated to serve others as a way of expressing our love and devotion.
Discipleship, which involves nurturing and mentoring others, can also foster intimacy within the Church. As we grow closer to God and develop a deeper understanding of our faith, we are often encouraged to serve and share our knowledge with others.
In essence, when we feel connected and loved, we are more likely to be willing to serve others and contribute to the Church’s overall mission.
PRAYER: Dear God, we pray for divine guidance and the ability to serve faithfully with a humble heart in Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.
