Topic: “LOVE BEYOND WORDS: GOD IS LOVE”
Text: 1 JOHN 4:8
Memory Verse: “Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God” – I John 4:8.
God is love. We know this because the Bible tells us as much. After all, God sent His own Son to die for our sins. You and I, His precious creation. What more could He have done to prove His love? Yet, He did much more. He assured us of His love and an eternity of fellowship with Him.
He gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, in essence, as Christians, we are covered all round, always. Where else can you and I ever find a love like this? An everlasting, sacrificial, nurturing love? Surely, not in human relationships. As humans, we are notoriously fickle and selfish because our emotions change as well as our circumstances. God offers us a love so unexpected and profound that it leaves us speechless many times. Our Heavenly Father offers us a love beyond words.
Beloved, let us, together, examine the many instances in our life’s journey, when we are overwhelmed by God’s love. The times when we stand in wordless wonder of God’s mastery and Majesty.
PRAYER: Father in Heaven, Thank you for loving me with an everlasting, secure love. Blessed be your Holy name, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
