DECEMBER 04: “A PEOPLE AND A BLESSING “

DECEMBER  04, 2025

Topic:  “A PEOPLE AND A BLESSING “

Text: Genesis 12:1-3; Galatians 3:16

Memory Verse:  “I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed” Genesis 12:2-3

Every plan and promise of God require a person or a people to bring it to performance. That is God’s method, always searching for a man He can use. Immediately the redemption plan was proclaimed, God began to execute the plan through various people. The Incarnation did not begin with Mary’s pregnancy; it began with God’s eternal purpose and was woven into history through covenants and generations. Jesus did not just show up, He was sent, promised, and anticipated through centuries of faith and prophecy.

Matthew 1:1-17 and Luke 3:23-38 detail the chronology of people, men and women, through whom the agenda progressed into fulfilment. When God called Abraham, He was not just forming a family, He was unfolding a plan. God’s covenant with Abraham included land, descendants, and blessings, but its deepest significance was that through Abraham’s lineage, the Savior of the world would come. Now that He has come, God works through us to make sure that the “Good News” reaches the ends of the earth.

Now I want you to reflect; what prophecy could God be fulfilling through you? What could be the eternal purpose of God for your life, marriage, wealth, profession etc.? Trace God’s faithfulness in your own life and ask God to use you as a blessing to others, just like Abraham.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for keeping Your promises across generations. Thank You for sending Jesus, the promised Seed, to bless the whole world — including me. Strengthen my faith in Your covenant love in Jesus’ name, Amen.
