DECEMBER 10: “THE REALITY OF EMMANUEL”

DECEMBER  10, 2025

Topic:  “THE REALITY OF EMMANUEL“

Text: Matthew 1:18-25

Memory Verse:  “So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: ‘Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,’ which is translated, ‘God with us.’” Matthew 1:22-23

In order to make the thoughts, plans and prophecies of the redemption come to pass, God personally and powerfully executed the agenda. He didn’t delegate it. The Incarnation means God with us not above us, or watching us, but God entering our space, breathing our air, and walking our roads. In Jesus, the infinite became intimate. Every healing, every word of compassion, every tear He shed was God’s own heart revealed in human flesh.

God is not against us, God with us, God for us, and God is in us. His presence is not merely observational, waiting to catch you doing wrong like the police. His presence is active, protective, and redemptive in your life, if you allow Him. He is still with us now, through His Spirit, and will one day be with us physically again.

So, pause, look within you, and look around you, what do you see? When life feels lonely or overwhelming, remember you are never truly alone. Emmanuel is still here. Emmanuel is your constant companion. Can you spend 5-10 minutes now in quiet, simply acknowledging God’s presence with you? Always remember, how real you are to God will determine how real God will be to you.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, thank You for being Emmanuel, God with us. Thank You for stepping into my world, understanding my struggles, and never leaving me alone. Help me to live daily in the awareness of Your presence in Your name, Amen.
