Topic: “SIGNIFICANT BLESSINGS OF CHRISTMAS – II “
Text: Luke 1:1-20
Memory Verse: “And the angel said unto them, fear not; for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people” – Luke 2:10.
Yesterday, we featured on the significant blessings of Christmas to mankind. Let us continue today to look further into those blessings that money cannot purchase for us but are freely and graciously given to us by God the Father.
Universal blessings – The Christmas message is “God news”. “God news” of salvation and redemption. God, the creator of the universe desires all men, women and children to come to the saving knowledge of Christ Jesus. Salvation is intended for all at no cost at all – free. Praise God!
Gift of God’s presence – Immanuel is one of the names of our Lord Jesus, meaning God with us. It highlights the mystery of God in the flesh among men. This also makes room for individual relationship with God, the Creator of all.
New beginning and transformation – The transformative power of our Lord Jesus Christ in the lives of men and women has changed people for the better. Testimonies abound and cut through age, tribe, culture and tradition. People who lived in unrighteousness, have become changed for the better through the birth and life of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
The blessings of Christmas should always be a reminder of how relevant compassion, love, kindness are to us and these should encourage us to spread the message of Christmas through caring, kindness, love and compassion.
PRAYER: Your blessings through the gift of Christ is of great significance and life changing to us, Lord. O help us never to forget your love in Jesus’ name, Amen.
