Topic: “LOVE RECOVERS ALL”
Text: : ISAIAH 9:1-7
Memory Verse: Isaiah 9:2 – “The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death, a light has dawned.”
The nation of Israel had been under the aggressive Assyrian empire for many years, with no hope, no help and no one could deliver them from this bondage. It was amid this hopelessness that God sent a word of hope, and that word was the son of God, who became flesh. As John 1:14 says, “We behold His glory, glory as of the son of God.”
In our text for today, Isaiah saw what Jesus who is the manifold revelation of the love of God, would come to do. His assignment would be to bring about recovery for the people. From gloom, it would turn to rejoicing. From distress it would turn to Joy, from oppression, it would turn to broken yoke and darkness would turn to light.
Beloved, this season is the time for us to submit to the messiah, it is a time to allow the messiah to invade our place of authority and allow Him to carry out His ministry in our lives as the counsellor and reconciler.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, the restorer of mankind, we submit to you today and we do ask that you will bring restoration of our peace, our joy and our righteousness in Christ Jesus, Amen.
